As with every 13 on the 13th release, these works are part of a ritual practice—a way to mark time through cycles of transformation, emotion, and truth-telling.
This month’s drop is soaked in the sensitive, intuitive, and deeply emotional waters of Cancer season (June 21 – July 22).

Cancer, the cardinal water sign, is ruled by the Moon—our celestial body of feelings, memory, and maternal instinct.
This curated collection serves as a visual exploration of the tension between vulnerability and protection, intuition and overwhelm, nourishment and emotional boundaries.
To honor the watery essence of this sign, as well as the memory water holds, I decided to create several watergram pieces—but with my own twist.

Traditionally, watergrams are cameraless photographic images created by exposing light-sensitive paper to water and light in a darkroom.
The interaction between the two captures the ephemeral movement and textures of water—like a snapshot of motion itself.
Instead of working in the darkroom with black-and-white paper, I chose to experiment with cyanotype chemicals and harness the sun as my light source.
I manipulated water across the treated paper, allowing the fluidity to shape the exposure process, inviting chance, light, and shadow to imprint their own message.

The result? Sun-born watergrams that speak directly to Cancer’s essence—intuitive, emotional, and ruled by the ever-shifting Moon.
Each piece holds a trace of the elements: water, sunlight, and time.

Water carries the weight of memory with the softness of self-protection.
In this curation, you’ll see symbols of the Moon, the womb, and the tides—myth and biology woven together in the same way our inner world ebbs and flows during Cancer season.
