Over the Rainbow
I searched for the answers and
I found a mirror
When does something go from destroying us to inspiring us, or vice versa?
The path to destruction, which I know quite well 😆, is when you believe that your cup isn't full, or that you can be destroyed, or when you aren't really aware that you made the 'game' you're in, which means you can never really lose. It's when you're not willing to face some seemingly 'inconvenient truths' and be honest about what's really there.Â
For me, this 'something', called Endometriosis moved from destroying me to inspiring me when I realized that freedom is a choice.Â
And I wouldn't have come to that really engrained understanding if I had not gone through the destructive trials of endo. I started to see it as my teacher.Â
And while I learned new information about how our bodies work, most of what I gained was a deep-seated awareness I already knew. I had just forgotten.Â
I just needed a swift kick to remember what was always already there, available freedom & awareness for the taking. So I did.
The luteal phase is actually my favorite phase, the getting shit done phase. Your brain is primed for organization + completing tasks and reviewing what was started during the Follicular week and didn't get done in the Ovulatory. It feel so good to wrap it up and even better to start to turn inward.
The particular ratio of estrogen to progesterone in this phase allows you to notice the details--the things around you that you didn't see before in the follicular or ovulatory phases. As a result, your brain begins to prioritize detail-driven responsibilities you may have ignored all month (or longer).

There are so many things I can say about this piece and how it relates to the science of this phase--but I think it speaks for itself.
As I said in the last luteal phase, Art speaks where words are unable to explain.
If I could write it, or say it, I wouldn't have to make art. 🎨
The period of the universe,
or 'Mercury Retrograde' as most people refer to it -- will be upon us starting next Saturday the 29th!
In proper respect for the infradian & circadian rhythms & not to mention the powerful insights and awarenesses that come to me during my period, I will be pausing on the series during this time.Â
I suggest you do the same. It's a time to evaluate and choose what you would like to move forward with. Unless we look at what we would like to let go of + look inward, we're only moving forward with all of the crap we don't want. If you decide to grind it out during this time you most likely are going to run into some problems. 😅
After the next phase (menstrual), you will hear from me again starting July 2nd beginning the third cycle of the series within the fresh & energetic follicular phase 🌷
The science from In the FLO >>>
When is the Luteal Phase?Â
The 10 to 14 days after ovulation and before your bleed.
What’s happening in your body in the Luteal Phase:Â
Estrogen levels continue to rise and the uterine lining continues to thicken
Progesterone levels start to rise
Toward the end of the luteal phase, estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone peak and then begin to drop, hitting their lowest levels just before your period.Â
PMS during this phase is caused by too much estrogen in the body relative to progesterone, or estrogen dominance
Metabolism speeds up
What’s happening in your brain:
Hormone levels during this phase prime your brain to be good at focusing on details and wrapping up projects. Toward the end of this phase, as your hormone levels plummet, you will have less energy and feel more inclined to focus inward rather than on socializing.Â
Why is it important to learn about your infradian rhythm? Because people with female physiology can only look and feel their best when they eat, exercise, and live in ways that support their infradian rhythm.
The infradian rhythm is one of your body’s two internal time keepers. (The other timekeeper is the circadian rhythm.)
The infradian rhythm influences six different systems of the body: brain, metabolism, immune system, microbiome, the stress response system, and the reproductive system.
